What Is a Sales Quote?

A sales quote is a document you send to customers with pricing for products they want to purchase. It's a formal offer that, when accepted, becomes the basis for an invoice.

In QuoteBuilder, sales quotes:

  • Contain products with quantities and pricing
  • Include customer contact and address information
  • Can have discounts, shipping, and taxes applied
  • Generate professional PDF documents
  • Can be emailed directly to customers

The Sales Quote Lifecycle

Create → Send → Approve → Invoice → Fulfill → Complete

  1. Create — Build the quote with products and customer
  2. Send — Email the PDF to your customer
  3. Approve — Customer accepts the quote
  4. Invoice — Generate an invoice for payment
  5. Fulfill — Pack and ship the order (if fulfillment is enabled)
  6. Complete — Order delivered and paid
