Sidebar Overview

The sidebar menu on the left side of the screen is your main navigation. It organizes all QuoteBuilder features into logical sections.

Menu Sections

Dashboard

Your home page with statistics and recent activity.

Quotes

Access all your quote types:

  • Sales Quotes — One-time sales orders
  • Rental Quotes — Equipment rental orders
  • Demo Quotes — Demo/loaner equipment (if enabled)
  • Proposals — Service proposals (if enabled)
  • Not Approved — Orders awaiting approval
  • Past Due — Overdue rental orders
Tip: Badge numbers next to menu items show counts of items needing attention (like past due orders).

Fulfillment

View and manage orders ready to ship (if fulfillment is enabled).

Invoices

Access all invoices and payment tracking.

Catalog

  • Products — Your product catalog
  • Services — Service library for proposals

Customers

Manage your customer database with contacts and addresses.

Inventory

Track inventory levels and create purchase orders (if inventory tracking is enabled).

Reports

Generate sales, rental, and other business reports.

Account

  • Company Info — Your company details
  • Billing — Your QuoteBuilder subscription
  • Users — Team member management

Settings

Configure all QuoteBuilder options and preferences.

Help

Access the Help Center and submit feature suggestions.

Understanding Badges

Red or orange badges on menu items indicate:

  • Numbers — Count of items (e.g., "3" past due orders)
  • Dot — New items or required attention

Collapsing the Menu

On smaller screens or to gain workspace:

  1. Click the hamburger icon at the top
  2. The menu collapses to icons only
  3. Click again to expand

Troubleshooting

Problem: Menu items are missing

Cause: Features may not be enabled, or you lack permission.

Solution: Ask your administrator to enable features in Settings or grant you permission.

Problem: Menu won't expand

Cause: Browser display issue.

Solution: Refresh the page or try a different browser.

Problem: Badge shows wrong number

Cause: Data may be cached.

Solution: Refresh the page to update counts.
